Kichijoji has been famous as not only a unique Tokyo suburb town but also one of the most important cultural home bases of "JR Chou-Line Sub Culture Movement” in 1970s.
In Kichijoji, is home to many Anime and Manga artists. In numbers, it is probably the No.1 location in Japan and possibly as well as in the world! Kichijoji is very often drawn in their Anime and Manga works. Once you come to Kichijoji, you’ll find many locations, which you’ve seen in Anime and Manga. There are many "Sight Seeing Spots" in Kichijoji.
Kichijoji also conducts Anime Tour, co-operated with MIA (Musashino International Association) every year. This Anime Tour and several other special events happen as simultaneous events in conjunction with its sister event "New York-Tokyo Anime Festival" in the U.S.
